man + women = cat + dog?? --->fight??

Was doing some reading during my free time, the book named “why men can only do one thing at a time and women never stop talking” by Allan + Barbara Pease. That was my favorite book.

There was one chapter said about

“the average length of a women’s telephone call is at least 18 mins”

Yet

“the average length of a men’s telephone call is less than 3 mins”

We can’t say it’s wrong. But I do have some long-lost friends, man I means who did talked to me over the phone for 2 hours. That’s surprising, right?

Yet, lengths of the telephone talk for girls and guys are depending on below situation:
if that’s talk is girl talk, it’s more likely to have the length of over 18 mins.
if that’s boy’s talk, it’s more likely to have length of less that 3 mins
if that between boy and girl, it’s more likely to have the length of over 2 hours

thus, the correct way to say it right is like：
“the average length of women’s telephone call is at least 18 mins for girl’s talk”
“the average length of men’s telephone call is less than 3 mins for men’s talk”

Don’t you agree?

Let’s get back to the topic, why girls use up more than 18 mins and yet boys use up less than 3 mins in the same activities?

Girls use it for relationship building; boys use it for communication purpose. Or I might say it, boy’s communication nerve is not as much as girls?

When girls meet those cold times during conversation, they will try to find something else to talk about. Yet when boy finish what they want to let their friend know, “clutch…” phone hang up.

If the phone call is between boy and girl, and it’s over 2 hours, definitely, the boy is interest in the girl or vice versa. Maybe just between them are good friends or some grey area.
